Why WebRTC rocks!

Communication ONLY with your Browser

The Internet is the new telephony and communication network. The “old” networks start to disappear and the change started already many years ago, as the good old VoIP (Voice over IP) was born.

But what is the WebRTC and why does this has such a potential. The name stands for WEB Real Time Communication and this speaks for itself. But as this is just a technology,  the benefit for all the users will be in the different ways to use this technology.

WebRTC will change the way we communicate – Detlev Artelt

The WebRTC.Org site says:

WebRTC is a free, open project that provides browsers and mobile applications with Real-Time Communications (RTC) capabilities via simple APIs. The WebRTC components have been optimized to best serve this purpose.
The WebRTC initiative is a project supported by Google, Mozilla and Opera, amongst others.

A fair with WebRTC

There is the new virtual fair in Germany called #EOA16 or “Einfach ONLINE Arbeiten” where we see a wonderful use of WebRTC. Like a traditional trade show, visitors love to speak with the exhibitors. At this fair, we use the WebRTC technology to enable this communication by video, voice and chat.

The advantage is on saving time for travel, save the environment by less traffic and most of all – having a huge ease of use to get information. With a click on another visitor you get the option to have a video call just in that moment by only using your browser and nothing else. There is no need for Skype or other real time communication tool, as all is available in a secured way by WebRTC.

As always at the End of my posts, I like to get your feedback, Please let me know your idea about this post or answer some of my questions.

  • Where do you will use WebRTC?

  • When will companies offer service via WebRTC?

  • Do you like to know more about #EOA16

Enjoy the new way of communications.
